Training

Support for quitting smoking within Manchester is provided by ‘Stop Smoking Intermediates’ i.e. people for whom helping others stop smoking is part of a larger role (e.g. pharmacy staff, midwives, GP practice staff). Manchester Stop Smoking Service runs regular training for new ‘Stop Smoking Intermediates’ covering areas such as building motivation, products available for supporting stop smoking and the benefits of becoming smokefree.

The training delivered by Manchester Stop Smoking Service is designed to support front line health and other staff to promote a smokefree future for the city.
