Smokefree Homes

Join Manchester Smokefee Homes Scheme and protect your baby and children from breathing in other people’s smoke (second hand smoke).

  • Second hand smoke causes illness including asthma, heart disease and cancer
  • Cigarette smoke contains more than 4,000 chemicals, such as ingredients of ant poison, rocket fuel, and floor cleaner. These spread around the room and house – even if the windows are open.
  • Babies and children are most at risk from second hand smoke. If you smoke around your children, they can breathe in the equivalent of 150 cigarettes per year.

Many people are choosing to make any babies and children safe and step outside to smoke – and to ask visitors to do the same.

Manchester’s Smokefree Homes Scheme encourages you to me your home smokefree. When you register your home smokefree, you’ll get all the health benefits and we’ll send you send you a certificate and smokefree stickers, signs etc to help you. We’ll also enter you into a free prize draw.

Register today and protect the people in your home that you love and care about. Click here to complete the online form or call Manchester Stop Smoking Service on 0161 205 5998.
