Smoke Free Schools Poster Competition – Check out the great prizes on offer again

After the success of the Smoke Free Schools Poster Competition last year, Manchester Stop Smoking Service in conjunction with Manchester Healthy Schools would like primary school children to take part in another poster competition.

The competition this year is to design a poster which highlights the dangers of smoking and the reasons why people should quit. The competition is only open to Year 5 and 6pupils but there are incentives for the school, class and pupils to get involved. Alongside the prizes on offer there is also the incentive that the winning poster, along with all of the finalist posters, will be exhibited in Manchester Town Hall for two weeks (details to be confirmed).

For your school to take part in the competition and have the chance to win the great prizes on offer, please complete the registration form below and submit it to the Manchester Stop Smoking Service as soon as possible.

Theclosing date for registration is Monday 23 rd October 2006.

Once registered, you will receive an information pack containing further details and a Stop Smoking Service wrist bands for each child that takes part. You can also download certificates to give to all of the children that take part.

The closing date for the poster entries isFriday 22 nd December 2006, so there is plenty of time for your pupils to take part.
